Music For All is a local music club series in Lochaber which holds around five concerts
a year between the months of October and April in venues across Fort William.
Our mission is to encourage people of all ages to come and enjoy a wide range
of musical talent brought to us from all areas of the UK.

Fiddlesticks - Maxwell Quartet

EMS are celebrating the Year of Young People with their National Chamber Music Day events in 2018 and we are working in partnership to devise a brand new family concert called ‘Fiddlesticks’ which will be performed by the Maxwell Quartet and Owen Gunnell (CCC’s Artistic Director and well-known percussionist) who will also be present.

It’s been an exciting year for the Maxwell Quartet, whose cellist Duncan Strachan hails from Roy Bridge: after winning first prize at the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition, the Quartet has signed to Scottish record label Linn Records, and is touring across Europe and the United States in 2018-19.
Kapten Trio – (piano, violin and cello)

The Kapten Trio are Enterprise Music Scotland residency artists for 2017-2019. Formed of pianist Kristi Kapten, violinist Rachel Spencer and cellist Duncan Strachan, the trio have delighted audiences across Scotland with their invigorating performances of the piano trio repertoire since their formation at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in 2010.
Ragtime Dolls (Vocal trio)

The Ragtime Dolls get you In The Mood for a Vintage Party! These three gorgeous Glasgow girls sing close harmony songs by the 1940s group The Andrews Sisters. They have it all: fantastic voices, sparkling personalities and swinging dance moves!
Atholl Duo (flute and marimba)

Join the Atholl Duo as they perform a diverse selection of works for flute and percussion. Covering music by Faure, and Bartok, plus arrangements of classics by Bach and Piazolla, their unique sound will both fascinate and delight. The Atholl Duo is an vibrant young duo partnership based in Scotland. Both successful performers in their own right and passionate about promoting and playing chamber music.
Rachel Hair (traditional clarsach and guitar)

Purveyors of Scotland’s most ancient and contemporary instruments (clarsach and acoustic guitar, respectively) Rachel Hair and Ron Jappy embody a special chemistry. From snappy Strathspeys to heartfelt airs, from rip-roaring reels to chirpy jigs the pair will be touring their newest album as a duo in 2019, showcasing their wealth of experience as two of Scotland’s most respected Traditional musicians.
